Jeans are the main staple of any male’s closet. In fact most guys have only jeans in their wardrobe and wouldn’t be caught dead in anything dressier. This has often been the point of contention of many mothers, wives and girlfriends. With the advent of more fashionable denim and the gradual acceptance of jeans into more formal events, guys in jeans doesn’t have to appear under dressed or at worse a bum. Here are some of the most famous designer jeans to help you boost that wardrobe.

Citizens of Humanity Evans Relaxed Jean. A great everyday jean with its deep "Cordoba" color. This jean is lower-riding with a more relaxed fit.

Juicy Couture JT Skull Jeans. Dark jeans without distressing are back in fashion and this is one of my favorites. I love the cut. Dark jeans are also better for the winter months.

7 for all Mankind Relaxed Jean. I would call this a wardrobe must have. This is a modern five-pocket jean, cut loose and easy through the legs in a cool vintage wash with slight fading and copper rivets.

Rock & Republic Floyd Bootcut Jeans. This is a seriously cool jean in the "Selenium" wash which is a medium blue-grey wash and is heavily brushed on the front and seat, with whiskered details near the front pockets. The fading is achieved by hand-sanding creating an authentic worn in look. The jean has a low rise and bootcut leg.

True Religion Joey Flare Jean. The medium blue wash has slight distressing. They have a flared leg and twisted seems. The color and style make for a versatile jean, but probably best suited for more casual occasions.

7 for all Mankind Cairo Flynt Jean. These are one of the lightest jeans in my "top picks" list. They are low rise and slimmer fitting throughout the leg. They have been sanded to look well-worn. There is fading on the thighs and seat and a really cool heat-stamped insignia on the back pockets.

Diesel Zaf 796. This jean has a cool dirty wash. It features a tight double stitching on the outer thigh and knee with a full flared leg after knee. The back pockets are two-tone and the belt loops are diagonal. The "796 Wash" is a medium blue denim with copper/rust fading, whiskering and distressing.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Selvedge Denim. It’s refreshing to find untreated denim with all of the distressing going on. The fit is relaxed and the back pockets are unstitched. The dark color make these jeans easy to pair up with everything from blazers to sweatshirts.
